Considered details.
Confident decisions.
Explore the details behind Marlow—from choosing a size and customizing the glass to planning the suspension, installation, and care.
What defines the design of the Marlow Wood-Tone Dome Chandelier?
The Marlow Wood-Tone Dome Chandelier by Liootrlamp combines rounded glass shades, branching metal arms, a brass-tone finish, and a wood-tone central detail. The contrast between the curved shades and slender arms gives the fixture its distinctive mid-century-inspired appearance.
Its open-bottom dome shades create a recognizable profile from below, while the outward-reaching arms give the chandelier a balanced presence above furniture. Marlow complements dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and other indoor spaces where decorative lighting contributes to the overall interior composition. Choose the configuration and glass color that coordinate with your room’s proportions, furniture, and finishes.
What sizes are available, and what do the measurements include?
Marlow is available in two configurations:
- 3 Heads: Diameter 60 cm × body height 29 cm / Ø 23.6″ × H 11.4″; requires 3 bulbs.
- 5 Heads: Diameter 70 cm × body height 29 cm / Ø 27.6″ × H 11.4″; requires 5 bulbs.
The diameter describes the overall width of the chandelier body, while the stated height refers to the body itself. The suspension rod and ceiling canopy must also be considered when planning the overall installed drop.
Both configurations have the same stated body height, but the five-light version extends farther across the room. Compare these measurements with your furniture dimensions and ceiling height before choosing a version.
How should I choose between the three-light and five-light versions?
Consider the chandelier’s physical scale and your lighting requirements separately. The three-light version has a 60 cm diameter, while the five-light version measures 70 cm across. The smaller configuration creates a more contained arrangement; the wider version has a broader visual presence above a table or seating area.
The five-light version accommodates more bulbs, but the final brightness depends on the lumen output of the selected bulbs and the glass color. Bulb count alone does not establish whether a fixture will provide sufficient light for your room.
For sizing assistance, send Liootrlamp your room dimensions, ceiling height, furniture measurements, and a photograph of the intended installation area.
What materials and finishes are used in Marlow?
The specified materials are metal and glass. The metal body has a brass-tone finish, and the standard glass shade colors are white and beige.
The wood-tone central detail contributes to the chandelier’s appearance. “Wood-tone” describes its visual finish and should not be interpreted as a specification for solid wood. Similarly, the brass-tone finish identifies the color of the metal surface rather than establishing that the fixture is made from solid brass.
When coordinating Marlow with existing hardware or furniture, compare the overall warmth and character of the finishes. Photographs, surrounding light, and screen settings can influence how metallic finishes and glass colors appear.
How do the white and beige glass shades differ in appearance?
White glass provides a neutral visual starting point and coordinates well with pale walls, light upholstery, and a broad range of interior palettes. Beige glass introduces a warmer shade color that pairs naturally with warm wood tones, earthy textiles, and softer neutral finishes.
The appearance of either option changes with the selected bulbs and the surrounding light. Bulb color temperature, brightness, and nearby wall colors can influence the impression of the illuminated glass. A beige shade does not, by itself, specify the color temperature of the light source.
If you are matching a particular interior palette, contact Liootrlamp to discuss the shade options before ordering.
Can I customize the glass shades in a color other than white or beige?
Yes. Other glass colors can be customized on request. If the standard white and beige options do not suit your project, share your preferred color, a reference photograph, or an image of the interior finish you want to complement.
Include your selected three-light or five-light configuration so our team can discuss the request in relation to the correct product. Before placing a custom order, ask Liootrlamp to confirm the available color, pricing, and preparation schedule.
A reference image helps communicate your preference, but an exact match should be discussed and confirmed. The appearance of colored glass can vary between daylight and illuminated conditions. Discuss your custom glass color →
What information should I include in a glass color customization inquiry?
Provide the Marlow product name, selected configuration, preferred glass color, and a clear reference image. If possible, explain whether you want to coordinate the glass with a wall finish, upholstery, artwork, or another object in the room.
Describe the color characteristics that matter most to you—for example, a lighter tone, a deeper shade, or a warmer appearance. Room photographs taken in ordinary daylight can also help communicate the surrounding palette.
If your request involves properties beyond color, such as a particular transparency or surface appearance, describe those separately so availability can be checked. Discuss the complete request with our team before confirming your order.
How long is the suspension rod, and can I request a longer one?
The standard suspension rod length is 150 cm / 59.1″. Longer rods can be customized on request for installations that require a greater drop.
To discuss a suitable length, provide your ceiling height, selected chandelier configuration, and desired position of the bottom of the fixture. For installation above a dining table, include the tabletop height as well. The chandelier body and ceiling mounting components also contribute to the overall installed drop.
If you require a shorter suspension, ask Liootrlamp to confirm the available arrangement before ordering. Do not assume that the supplied rod can be cut or altered on site. Rod length, wiring, and mounting compatibility should be considered together.
Can Marlow be installed on both flat and sloped ceilings?
Yes. Marlow supports installation on flat and sloped ceilings. For a sloped ceiling, the mounting connection must suit the ceiling angle while allowing the chandelier’s suspension rod and body to hang in the intended orientation.
Before ordering, send Liootrlamp a photograph of the ceiling and, if available, its approximate angle. Include the ceiling height and desired hanging position so the suspension arrangement can be discussed.
Have a qualified installer verify the ceiling support, mounting connection, electrical supply, and required clearance. The simple diagrams on the product page illustrate the installation concept; they do not replace the instructions or hardware assessment required for your particular installation.
What bulbs does Marlow use, and how many are required?
Marlow uses E26 or E27 bulbs, depending on the supplied version. The three-head configuration requires 3 bulbs, and the five-head configuration requires 5 bulbs.
Confirm the socket type supplied with your fixture before purchasing bulbs. Also check the bulbs’ voltage rating, physical size, and compatibility with the permitted wattage for the selected chandelier. The bulb must fit appropriately within the dome shade without contacting the glass or interfering with the fixture.
For brightness, compare lumen output rather than wattage alone. Ask Liootrlamp to confirm the maximum permitted wattage and whether bulbs are included before ordering, as these details should be checked for your selected version.
Is Marlow dimmable, and what should I check before choosing a dimmer?
Dimming compatibility should be confirmed for the particular fixture version you intend to purchase. An E26 or E27 socket identifies the bulb base; it does not, on its own, establish compatibility with a specific dimming system.
If you want to control the light level, tell Liootrlamp before ordering and describe the type of dimmer or lighting control you plan to use. A compatible setup requires the fixture arrangement, bulbs, and control to work together.
For LED bulbs, check that the bulbs are explicitly rated for dimming and supported by the selected dimmer. Have your electrician review the complete combination before installation.
What voltage does Marlow support, and what does IP20 mean for placement?
Marlow is specified for AC 110–240V and has an IP20 rating. It is intended for indoor dry locations, such as dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, and suitable indoor circulation areas.
Confirm that the supplied fixture version and selected bulbs are appropriate for the electrical supply at your installation location. The bulbs must have the correct voltage rating as well as the correct base.
IP20 should not be treated as approval for exposure to water, persistent condensation, or outdoor weather. If you are considering a moisture-prone location, ask Liootrlamp to confirm suitability before purchasing and have your installer assess the proposed position.
How should I clean and maintain the glass shades and metal finish?
Switch off the power and allow the bulbs and fixture to cool before cleaning. For routine dusting, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth on the glass shades and accessible metal surfaces. Where additional cleaning is needed, use a lightly dampened cloth and dry the surface afterward, keeping moisture away from sockets and electrical connections.
Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvents, and metal polishes that have not been confirmed as suitable for the finish. Support the fixture carefully while cleaning rather than pulling on individual arms or shades.
If a shade needs to be removed, follow the supplied instructions or ask Liootrlamp for guidance before loosening any fittings.
What is the preparation time, and how can I request customization or advice?
The average preparation time is 5–10 days. This is the period required to prepare the order before dispatch and is separate from shipping or transit time. If your purchase is connected to an installation appointment or project deadline, discuss the full schedule with Liootrlamp before placing the order.
Custom glass colors or longer suspension rods may require a different preparation schedule, so request confirmation for your particular configuration.
