For round fixtures, designers aim for a diameter of about one-half to two-thirds of the table width: the Ø 36.2″ suits tables of about 48–60″, the Ø 48″ suits 60–72″ tables, and the Ø 59.8″ and Ø 71.6″ are scaled for large dining rooms and grand foyers. For linear fixtures, leave about 12″ of table showing at each end, which puts the 11-light (53.9″) over 78–84″ tables or islands, the 13-light (71.6″) over 96–108″ tables and the 17-light (96″) over tables of 120″ and longer.

A widely used rule is to add the room’s length and width in feet and read the total as the chandelier diameter in inches. A 16 × 20 ft room points to about 36″, a 22 × 26 ft room to about 48″, and double-height foyers or great rooms can carry the Ø 59.8″ or Ø 71.6″. When the chandelier hangs over a table, size it to the table first.

Over a dining table or kitchen island, the bottom of the chandelier usually sits 30–36″ (76–91 cm) above the surface with an 8 ft ceiling, adding about 3″ for each extra foot of ceiling height. In an entryway or walkway, keep at least 7 ft (213 cm) of clear headroom beneath the lowest point.

Yes. The chain lets your electrician set the hanging height during installation by removing or adding links. If you have a vaulted or double-height ceiling and need a longer chain, contact us before you order and we will confirm the length with you.

Each crystal candle holds a built-in integrated LED with a 3000K warm white color, so there are no bulbs to buy or replace. The crystal covers add a gentle sparkle by day and a soft, candle-like glow at night.

Integrated LED fixtures need a dimmable LED driver and a compatible wall dimmer to dim smoothly. If dimming matters for your space, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm the right option for your fixture.

Yes. The fixture is rated for AC 110–240V, which covers the 120V supply in the United States and Canada as well as 220–240V supplies in most other countries. It is hardwired to the ceiling and works with a standard wall switch (not included).

The canopy mounts to a ceiling junction box secured to the framing and rated for the fixture’s weight, and the chandelier hangs from the chain below it. For the larger round sizes and the linear models, use a fan- or fixture-rated support box and center it over the table or island. We recommend installation by a licensed electrician in line with local electrical codes.

Gold brings out the warmth of the hammered texture and suits wood-rich, Modern Farmhouse and Transitional rooms. Black gives a crisp, graphic outline against light walls, while nickel reads cooler and works well with gray, white and marble palettes.

Switch off the power and let the fixture cool before cleaning. Dust the brass frame with a soft, dry microfiber cloth and avoid abrasive or ammonia-based cleaners, which can dull the finish. Wipe the crystal candles with a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with glass cleaner, never sprayed directly onto the fixture.

The Ashcombe is designed for indoor dry locations such as dining rooms, kitchens, living rooms, entryways and bedrooms. It is not rated for outdoor spaces, covered porches or bathrooms with showers.
